Album released in Spain performed by the Catalan singer Juan Rafael Cortés Santiago (Sabadell, 1965), alias 'Duquende', with guitar accompaniment to guitarists Tomatito and Juan Carmona. Duquende inherited the love of flamenco singing from their parents, gypsy family. Already with 7 years rose for the first time on stage and at 9 the same 'Camarón' came back up and accompanied him on guitar. The 'Camarón''s patronage strongly marked to Duquende, that has always professed heir of Camarón. Today his singing is just respected around the flamenco scene. Paco de Lucia join his sextet in 1997 and says that Duquende has 'the magic of singing, inspiration and technique'.

Raúl Ruiz’s City of Pirates is (de)composed under the sign of Surrealism, with its trust in ecstasy, scandal, the call of the wild, mystification, prophetic dreams, humour, the uncanny.
